There are so many rave reviews on KinoPoisk - "masterpiece", "work of art", but I didn't like it - since when did spider beetles become masterpieces? ((

I watched it twice just to play Marsha Gay Harden. She played brilliantly. I hated her when I saw the movie. It's rare when the emotions during viewing are so strong. These are not tears of pity and tenderness (everything is simple with this, I can let a tear go) But to hate ...

The film left a double impression. On the one hand, this film puts pressure on the psyche, depicts that because of fanaticism, people are ready to become animals and kill. It touched me. Especially since I love films about parallel worlds. =) But on the other hand, the film is bland, sometimes boring, and the acting at the end of the film turned out to be unnatural for me, the actors played badly. The ending is unexpected, of course, but not a masterpiece. But what is really masterpiece in this film is when the main characters drove by a car by just a HUGE creature. I really liked this scene.

I remember reading some novel by Stephen King, in which he wrote the phrase that "a normal generation cannot grow up that listens to Axl Rose", or something like that ... Rose is the vocalist of the Guns and Rose group, if anyone is not in the know ... I'm not really a fan of Rose, so I listen to it once every two years, but this categoricalness of the author who writes diabolical horror films jarred me. Therefore, I generally have a low opinion of his work.

Great movie, you don't get it. Smooth transition from heligious to crazy fanatics, herd effect, clear characters, tense atmosphere and of course the ending. If this movie is empty for you, then I don't envy you =(.
