Algorithms for fake photos and videos

Thanks to the algorithm, the computer can process photos or videos and create a modified and possibly improved image.

An example below is a good illustration of the improvement (supposedly, but I don't want to argue about it):

We can never trust dating sites and marriage agencies again!

The algorithm was developed by a team of researchers from Tel Aviv University: Tommer Leivand, Daniel Cohen-Or, Gideon Dror and Dani Liszczynski.

He works by teaching a program a series of photographs of faces considered attractive, according to the judgment of a group of testers. Based on this, we determine the criteria for the average distance between different points of the face, then find these points in the photo to change and perform the proportion correction process.

In addition to landscaping, several different operations can usually be performed on photographs:
- Adjust colors and brightness.
- Replacing one face with another in a wide frame.
- Morphing.
- Transmitting a facial expression, such as a smile, to all faces in the photo.

An example of morphing: Richard Nixon becomes a bit like Eddie Presley and vice versa:

It is also possible to modify a video if it depicts a static scene without moving objects using a photograph of the same scene.
