Fill the background with a transparent image
Another way to dig out an image is to use Gimp tools to make the background transparent automatically.
This is a process that is especially suitable for drawings on a white background. And in this case, it becomes very easy to extract the image.

| Load the picture and in the Image -> Mode submenu, select the RGB checkbox. | |
Right-click the layer to display the context menu. Click Add Alpha Channel. If there is an alpha channel in the image that is "A" RVBA, the eraser tool is erased transparently, otherwise it is erased along with the background color. They don't use elastic here, but the effect is the same with other instruments. |

Click the magic wand. The management window appears. Select an undo option and a border blur option. Then click the image. This selects the outline of the drawing.
