Bing search engine optimization

Bing doesn't have a significant market share outside the U.S., but the advice that applies to that engine is mostly relevant to everyone else.
Tips for creating links
Bing provides a list of tips given on the site that actually use the link basics already expressed in various articles on that site, such as a link guide.
- Relevance is the main thing. Relevance is important when it comes to links between pages: if links come from pages without a report, their value is reduced or even they are completely ignored .
- The authority of the site leads a lot to the value of the link. The site is considered authoritative when it has a lot of content, a long history in its field, that it has a lot of relevant links .
- Quality is better than quantity. A small number of qualitative links is better than the number of inappropriate links from pages that do not appear in the results.
You are encouraged to create connections by various methods...
- Contact webmasters of sites whose subject is yours so they know you exist.
- Use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.
- Add links to article catalogs.
- Participate in forums. In part, this contradicts the following section: too many sudden connections...
Forbidden links
And there are connections to look for, there are ones to avoid because they are more harmful than helpful.
- Suddenly there are a huge number of connections.
- Number of links from comments on blogs or from a site not linked to yours.
- Hidden links on pages.
- Link exchange.
- Links to sites that are considered link farms (where anyone can add links that fill pages).
- Links from your site to spam sites (which often happens with directories asking for a back link).
Other tips
Avoid manipulation: as soon as they are detected (and they are always detected), the spam factor is assigned to the entire site.
There is a clear contradiction in Microsoft's advice. Article catalogs do not provide high-quality links, you are encouraged to use them.
Similarly, you are advised to contact webmasters, but do not exchange links.
The contradiction is undoubtedly solved by moderation: every link must be thought out, links en masse, like blogrolls, are offensive.
